Monte Bella
The Don Chapin Company is working with a local developer, Valley Community Homes of Salinas, to construct a new 858 single-family residential community. This 200 acre site consists of 151 acres of housing, 12.8 acres of major streets, a 21 acre community park, and a 9 acre elementary school site. Currently, phases I and II are under construction, while phases III and IV will begin in July of 2005. Chapin crews, along with local subcontractors, will be working on grading, roadway construction, and underground infrastructure. more »
The Commons at Rogge Road
The Commons at Rogge Road is the first project of its kind in Monterey County. This project is a 100% affordable workforce housing located in north Salinas. Partnering with Woodman Development has helped this dream become a reality. Saint Francis Retreat Center
Saint Francis Retreat Center is set in the rolling hills of San Juan Bautista and receives thousands of visitors every year. Many visitors travel hundreds of miles to spend the weekend in the majestic retreat. The retreat sits on 73 Acres and includes many buildings, a small lake and magnificent views. In 2006, tragedy struck in the form of an electrical fire in the 142 year old ranch house. All six friars sleeping in the second floor bedrooms were quick to vacate the building and escaped without injury. Though the fire was a raging inferno, firefighters were able to keep the blaze contained without damaging any surrounding buildings or trees.

SALINAS VALLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - UTILITY TUNNEL
As a leading hospital on the Central Coast, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital (SVMH) has begun construction on a new Energy Center, a utility tunnel, a retrofit of the existing building and various other projects. To complete the utility tunnel, SVMH has partnered with The Don Chapin Company. The utility tunnel will join the hospital to the new Energy Center and will house data, power and communication lines for the hospital campus. The tunnel will run along San Jose Street from Los Palos Drive to Wilgart Way.

CIENEGA ROAD BRIDGE AT BIRD CREEK
Located in the heart of San Benito County, the Don Chapin Company has begun construction on the Cienega Road Bridge at Bird Creek. The bridge will serve as a crossing at Bird Creek to facilitate the new future Cienega Road Realignment Project. more »
